As The Arcade Fire's agent, I regret the disappointment suffered by fans who had purchased pre-sale tickets for the May 27 show in Portland and were informed those purchases had been cancelled only after tickets went on sale, as actually scheduled, on Saturday. While full details will be forthcoming, you should be aware that the email sent out by the Portland Center for the Performing Arts was misleading at best and fails to mention some very salient points essential to understanding what happened.
We are working very hard to provide redress to as many fans as possible and will make an announcement soon. For now, please understand that the band's intent was always to give all true fans in Portland equal access to all tickets for the show.
Please do not continue to email this website as the webmaster is unable to be of assistance in this matter.
Thank you for your patience and support of the band.
Best Regards, David T. Viecelli (Boche Billions) President THE BILLIONS CORPORATION |

New York City, you can't get rid of the Arcade Fire just yet. The band will be the musical guest on next week's (February 24th) Saturday Night Live on NBC! The guest host for the show is Rainn Wilson, otherwise known as Dwight Schrute from NBC's 'The Office'.
Personally i'm a bit surprised that they couldn't get Scrantonicity to be the musical guest, but i guess this is the next best thing. |
