Please refrain from sending ANY emails to this site regarding not getting tickets for the upcoming London or Montreal shows.
While i'm sorry you did not get tickets, this *IS* just a fan-site afterall, and there really isn't a thing i can do to help you. I realize most of you are just venting and frustrated, but emailing me does not help you one bit. Your best bet is to maybe get lucky and have some kind soul on the forum sell you an extra or something.
Do not pay the exuberant prices through eBay, Craigslist, etc., there will be a very widescale world tour this year and conntinuing into next year. You WILL have plenty of chances to see the band over the next 2 years, i guarantee. |

from Win Butler: july 14th Greetings... Just came up for air for a day or 2...Richard and sarah are off on tour with bell orchestre in europe (go and see them if you have the chance their show at the jazz fest was one of the best they have ever played) this will be the last update for a while because there is still much work to be done, and a long way to go before things are finished, and I don’t want to be a tease...some one sent me an email that scott’s update made the news so I may as well bring you up to date...yea the pipe organ was amazing...never heard anything quite like it, we also recorded a horn section in the church with microphones 200 feet away with the craziest reverb I have ever heard... After trying to decide if we should work with any producers we kind of realized that we already know how we want things to sound so we should just run after that sound as fast as we can and not rely on somone else to guide the good ship arcade fire...atleast for now...we did get the opportunity to have producer bob johnson (blonde on blonde, highway 61, the sound of silence, the first leonard choen records the johnny cash folsom prision album) come out to our studio and hang out and watch us record a song...he told us a million stories many of which are too profane to print, but I rememeber him talking about how paul simon would spend all night recording the sound of hitting coke bottles while he would sleep on the couch...and I feel like we need to just bang on pots and pans by ourselves for a few years before it would be usefull to learn another way of doing things... |
